Editorial Policy

Listings on Local Trade List are included based on whether a business operates in one of our covered cities, falls within a listed category, and passes our licensing check for trades where state licensing applies. Organic listing position is not for sale. Where a business appears in category or search results reflects the category it is in, the recency of the submission, and the completeness of the listing profile.

Some placements within the directory are sponsored. Sponsored listings are labeled as such. Paying for a sponsored placement does not affect whether other businesses in the same category are listed or how they appear in organic results. Editorial decisions about which businesses to include, flag, or remove are separate from advertising decisions.

Listings are updated when owners submit changes and when our review process surfaces inaccurate or outdated information. If a trades professional loses their state license or faces documented disciplinary action with a state licensing board, we may remove or flag the listing. Reader reports factor into that process.
